Who is your Guide?

I am thankful for how technology has for the most part made life easy for us. What would we do without GPS? especially for people like me that don't know how to read roadmaps. I like Google maps! Whether you use paper maps, Google maps, compass or GPS - the aim is the same. You need to get to a location and you need a tour guide or a map / compass to get there. Moreso in this earthly journey, we all need a Tour Guide. Whoever you allow to be your guide on earth will determine your eternal destination.

Who's your guide - your flesh, your heart, the devil or the Spirit of God?

The acts of the flesh are lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life. All the flesh wants to do is feed itself. 1John 2:16. The flesh dances to the tune of the world. Don't listen to the flesh!

The heart on the other hand is full of wickedness - a heart that has not been changed by God is full of evil. It's dangerous to trust such heart! Can you trust your heart?

The devil is a thief, killer and destroyer. John 10:10. When the devil is allowed to give direction, know assuredly that the end will be disastrous. Don't allow the leadership of the devil in your life.

The Spirit of God is the best Tour Guide! His way is perfect, true, harmless, fearless… His way leads to everlasting life! 

"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future."

The creator/manufacturer of the product is the determinant of its purpose. If you want to find out the purpose of anything, you don’t ask the product, you ask the creator – Myles Munroe

How can I have a relationship with God?

1.Confess your sins to God. Romans 3:10, 23; 5:12

2.Ask that the blood of Jesus cleanse you from all your sins. Hebrew 9:22, 1John 1:7-9.

3.Ask Jesus to come and reign in your life.

4.Forgive yourself and move on.  

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]."

2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP

5.Read your Bible and pray everyday.

6.Pray that God will lead you to a Bible believing church and fellowship with them.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come to you today; save me and I shall be saved. Heal me and I shall be healed. Forgive me of all my sins (confess them). Have mercy on me. Come and be the Lord over my spirit, soul and body. Help me not to go back to my old way of life - give me a new beginning. I am yours Lord! In Jesus name I pray. Amen
