Where is God in all these?

I receive messages and many comments on my blog such as - where is God when people pray for healing and they still die? People ask questions related to this on a regular basis.

This is what I know. God did not say we will not have problems and challenges because we believe in Him and pray. However, He promised us His presence, help and victory. The loss of loved ones is not what anyone look forward to. I've experienced the pain of the loss of a baby, parents, siblings, friends and acquaintances.
When we lost our first baby, we're devastated to say the least. Prior to that, we're looking forward to being parents for the first time. We finished shopping for baby items and other things we would need. I remember doing a role play of being a mom all by myself - the imagination of what our responsibilities would be as parents. I went for ultrasound at 32 weeks. The result read IUD - intrauterine death. What kept my husband and I going was the presence of God. We're able to grieve with hope and peace because God was there with us.

But now, this is what the Lord , your Creator says, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity]; I have called you by name; you are Mine!  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
Isaiah 43:1‭-‬2 AMP

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? I John 5:4‭-‬5 NKJV

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord , Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalms 121:1‭-‬3 NKJV

The above Bible verses confirmed that God will see us through any situations and circumstances we may find ourselves whether sickness, loss, persecution and so on. He will be there holding our hands.

When death comes, it's a gain as long as we're in good standing with God. The death of a believer of Christ is a transition from this sinful world into eternity in heaven.
For to me, to live is Christ [He is my source of joy, my reason to live] and to die is gain [for I will be with Him in eternity].
Philippians 1:21 AMP
Another eternity is hell fire which is reserved for the wicked. I don't know about you but as for me I don't want to go to hell. If you think about it this way, why would you go to the same hell fire that wicked will go simply because of lies and other "petty things"? Sin is sin - there's no big sin and small sin when it comes to God's judgement.
Trials, tests and temptations of this world should not mar us but make us stronger and wiser. I believe they should make us trust and depend on God not on human strength and wisdom.

As I was writing this post I remembered this beautiful song "I have a Friend" by Clint Brown

I Have A Friend

I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
He's a rock that I lean on
He's my shelter from every storm
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
He's a rock that I lean on
He's my shelter from every storm
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

Oh, let the rain fall, let the wind blow
There is a place, that I can go
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus, Jesus
He's a rock that I lean on
He's my shelter from every storm
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

Oh, let the rain fall, let the wind blow
There is a place, that I can go
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

Oh, let the rain fall, let the wind blow
There is a place, that I can go
I, I have a friend,
I, I have a friend, stick closer than a brother
I, I have a friend, stick closer than a brother
I, I have a friend, His name is Jesus

How can I have a relationship with God?
1.Confess your sins to God. Romans 3:10, 23; 5:12
2.Ask that the blood of Jesus cleanse you from all your sins. Hebrew 9:22, 1John 1:7-9.
3.Ask Jesus to come and reign in your life.
4.Forgive yourself and move on.
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]."
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
5.Read your Bible and pray everyday.
6.Pray that God will lead you to a Bible believing church and fellowship with them.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come to you today; save me and I shall be saved. Heal me and I shall be healed. Forgive me of all my sins (confess them). Have mercy on me. Come and be the Lord over my spirit, soul and body. Help me not to go back to my old way of life - give me a new beginning. I am yours Lord! In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Important Information

Giving your life to Jesus does not mean you will not experience challenges in life. Infact, you may be persecuted because of your faith in Jesus. You may experience pain, temptations, trials, disasters, loss and so on. In the event that any of these things happen to you, know assuredly that He is with you. The difference between you and an unbeliever is  God's promises - His presence and the ultimate reward which is eternity with Him in heaven.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."

Isaiah 43:2 AMP

"Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 AMP

If you continue to be in good standing with God; when you die, you will go to heaven.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 7:21 AMP
