The Potter Knows what He's doing
Children, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Charlie: farmer
This question resonates with me and likewise you the reader of this blog. Career choice is one of the major decisions we have to make in life. It's easy to decide what to have for supper but major decisions are not easy to make. Often times, one need to do research, see a counselor among others in order to make good decisions pertaining to certain aspects of our lives. Growing up, I had 2 professions in mind.
I started off with nursing. After I graduated from the School of Midwifery in 1997, I changed my mind. I wanted to be a nutritionist instead. When I saw how nurses are being treated by the people they care for and other health care providers, I said to myself "you need to do something else, you are not appreciated in this profession." I was frustrated! I like helping people but I detest ill treatment, abuse and the likes. In my state of confusion, I decided to reroute my career path.
I saved up to pursue human nutrition, I had plans to relocate to Lagos. Alas, all my efforts at changing my career were unsuccessful. Nothing worked out! The money disappeared; I searched everywhere in my room, I didn't find it. There was no one to turn to. That's how I couldn't write the admission exam that year. To make matters worse, my relocation to Lagos did not work out either. My back was against the wall! Every step I took to change my career was abortive. I was engaged to my fiance then (now my husband). He prayed with me and opened my eyes to see that the Potter molded me for nursing. Guess what! 23 years later I'm still in the nursing profession. I'm an enterostomal therapist educator. Although I didn't turn out to be a professor in the university, yet I teach my patients, their families, university students and other health care providers.
Who is the Potter?
I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart…
How can I have a relationship with the Potter?

Important Information
Giving your life to Jesus does not mean you will not experience challenges in life. Infact, you may be persecuted because of your faith in Jesus. You may experience pain, temptations, trials, disasters, loss and so on. In the event that any of these things happen to you, know assuredly that He is with you. The difference between you and an unbeliever is God's promises - His presence and the ultimate reward which is eternity with Him in heaven.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."
Isaiah 43:2 AMP
"Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP
If you continue to be in good standing with God; when you die, you will go to heaven.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 7:21 AMP
