Don't be afraid

Fear is an emotion we have to deal with more often than not. I see fear as a response to information we perceived or received. It comes as a result of what we hear, feel or see. Two people can receive the same information and react differently. One person can respond with fear and the other person can receive this same information with faith.

For example if two people perceived hostility or threat the first person can see this as an opportunity to build their character and strength / grow while the second person may see this as the end of their career, relationship, life ...

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. James 1:2‭-‬4 NLT

Did you know?

  1. The way you received an information determines your response to it.
  2. Fear is false expectations appearing real
  3. Fear is projecting your faith in the wrong direction.
  4. Fear is a thief of time and destiny
  5. Fear is one of the barriers to success.
  6. Fear is a killer.
  7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT).

God does not want us to live in fear.  Fear has torment. There are 365 "fear not" in the Bible; one for each day.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NLT Are you fearful? Bring your fear to Jesus in exchange for His peace that the world can not give.

Have you failed in the past and you're afraid you will fail again?

1. Give your life to Jesus if you haven't done so already. 2. Know the will of God for your life. How? Enquiry -ask God 3. Prayerfully face your fears 4. Declare the word of God 5. Look at your foundation 6. Why did you fail in the past? 7. Learn from your past mistakes and don't repeat them 8. Learn from successful people who are currently doing what you want to do. 9. Seek godly counsel 10. Above all, seek to know God more and commit your ways into His hands. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬8 NLT

How can I have a relationship with God?
1.Confess your sins to God. Romans 3:10, 23; 5:12
2.Ask that the blood of Jesus cleanse you from all your sins. Hebrew 9:22, 1John 1:7-9.
3.Ask Jesus to come and reign in your life.
4.Forgive yourself and move on.
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]."
2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
5.Read your Bible and pray everyday.
6.Pray that God will lead you to a Bible believing church and fellowship with them.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come to you today; save me and I shall be saved. Heal me and I shall be healed. Forgive me of all my sins (confess them). Have mercy on me. Come and be the Lord over my spirit, soul and body. Help me not to go back to my old way of life - give me a new beginning. I am yours Lord! In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Important Information

Giving your life to Jesus does not mean you will not experience challenges in life. Infact, you may be persecuted because of your faith in Jesus. You may experience pain, temptations, trials, disasters, loss and so on. In the event that any of these things happen to you, know assuredly that He is with you. The difference between you and an unbeliever is  God's promises - His presence and the ultimate reward which is eternity with Him in heaven.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."

Isaiah 43:2 AMP

"Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

2 Corinthians 1:3‭-‬4 AMP

If you continue to be in good standing with God; when you die, you will go to heaven.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 7:21 AMP
