You left your vehicle running!
Something shocking happened to me recently that got me thinking. It's something I've never done before. The senior protective officer at my place of work left a message on my office phone and sent an email to call him back - so I did. "You left your vehicle running" he says. I hurried out as fast as I could to catch the shuttle to take me to the parking lot. I had left my vehicle running for almost 6 hours ☹️. Nothing happened to the vehicle except that it was almost out of gas. If it had run for another 2 hours, it would be dead by the time I close from work.
The officer took these steps before he could reach me -
Read my transponder on the system to find my info.
Overhead page - I didn't hear it as I was busy. It was during lunch break that my colleague told me about it.
Email to my work email address
Called office number and left message.
Called my home phone number
Sent an email again
This person doesn't know me from Adam; he was so concerned about me that he went above and beyond. He kept trying until he reached me. He didn't relent, he didn't leave any stone unturned. Did he do all these to get a reward? No! Is it his Job to watch staff vehicles? No!
What are the lessons I learned from this incidence?
Firstly be a good Samaritan. Don't turn a blind eye when you see others in danger. You don't have to know people before you show them an act of kindness. You don't need a reward before or after you help someone. Just do it! Your Heavenly Father who sees everything will reward you in due time.
Secondly, if you have seen the light of God, let it shine to others so they can enjoy fellowship with Him as you do. Don't say
they may not listen to me
I'm shy
I only talk about my faith when people ask
They won't like me
They would say I'm too religious.
People will criticize me
It's not acceptable in this modern day....and other excuses
If you're on the road and you know there's an impending danger in the direction a stranger is heading, won't you stop him or her? Or you see your neighbor's house engulfed in flames - won't you call for help?
You know eternal damnation is waiting for sinners and you keep quiet. What kind of being are you? It's not too late; you can still go extra mile in reaching out to people who have not seen the light of God. Do your part and leave the rest for God!
"How beautiful and delightful on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace, Who brings good news of good [things], Who announces salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”"

Important Information
Giving your life to Jesus does not mean you will not experience challenges in life. Infact, you may be persecuted because of your faith in Jesus. You may experience pain, temptations, trials, disasters, loss and so on. In the event that any of these things happen to you, know assuredly that He is with you. The difference between you and an unbeliever is God's promises - His presence and the ultimate reward which is eternity with Him in heaven.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."
Isaiah 43:2 AMP
"Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 AMP
If you continue to be in good standing with God; when you die, you will go to heaven.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 7:21 AMP
