Let God Fight for You - notes

Slide 5
*God becomes your father when you surrendered your life to Jesus. He has provided everything you need. “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence”. 2Peter 1:3
*God protects his children. “He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber”. Psalm 121:3
*God guides those who allow Him to guide them. “5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. Proverbs 3:5-6

• When you dial 911,
• the operator asks for your emergency,
• after you describe the scenario,
• the operator then gives you some instructions,
• and tells you help is on the way.
As a child of God, when you pray, you should pause and listen for directions from the Holy Spirit. Prayer is not a one way communication. God wants to speak to you but you need to listen for His voice.

One of the attributes Jehoshaphat and Esther have in common is that they declared a fast. They acknowledged the fact that they cannot defeat their enemies by their own strength - but have a God that can fight for them.
*The Scribes and the Pharisees wanted the woman caught in adultery dead. But Jesus sees the heart of this woman (what others did not see) and became her advocate and judge. Jesus discharged and acquitted her. Are you a sinner? Have you given up on yourself? FYI God has not given up on you. His mercy is still available today. Call upon His name, confess your sins and He will save and deliver you from the power of sin.
